There are always many volunteer opportunities in a legislative campaign. Jean wants you to know about one in particular.
Jean has been reelected twelve times and doorknocks throughout the district each election. Jean believes it is important to give voters an opportunity to talk to a candidate each time the candidate is up for reelection. Jean also believes doorknocking is an opportunity for the candidate to become aware of emerging issues, issues that people are only beginning to think about but have not yet reached the level of public discussion.
Equally important, Jean has gotten some of her best legislative ideas while doorknocking. She began developing her “This Old House” legislation that uses tax incentives to encourage investment in older homes while she was discussing neighborhood revitalization with voters.
Jean would like you to doorknock with her. She particularly likes to go out with volunteers who live in the neighborhood in which she is doorknocking.
